The first step is to have us perform a patent or trademark search to determine whether it is advisable to further pursue your idea. We have convenient "search request" forms which make it easy for you to start the process. If you have photographs or sketches, you may attach them. If not, we will work with your brief description of your concept. In order to do the search, we simply need to understand your idea so that we can search the patent or trademark records for similar ideas.

Download a printable patent or trademark search request form or call to receive a form by mail or fax. Provide as much detail about your invention as possible, using additional sheets of paper if necessary. In approximately 3 weeks, we will provide you with the search results (including patent copies), an evaluation of your invention's patentability, and a quote of how much it would cost for us to prepare a patent application for your invention. We accept major credit cards.

Upon request, we would be happy to provide you with a signed non-disclosure agreement. In addition, whenever dealing with a registered patent attorney, you are always assured confidentiality under federal law.
